Veggie Guardin' is a minigame found in Wii Play Motion. It is the second minigame found in Wii Play Motion and has three game modes: Guard, Versus, and Recall.

Guard Mode[]

This mode requires the player to bash moles away from their fruits and vegetables by using a toy hammer, across five levels. Miis are also involved, but if they are hit, the player will lose points. After hitting moles, a gauge fills, and when full, the hammer will become stronger, and the player's points will become doubled.

Medals[]

  • Bronze medal: Get 500 points.
  • Silver medal: Get 1000 points.
  • Gold medal: Get 1500 points.
  • Platinum medal: Get 2400 points.

Versus Mode[]

There are no fruits, and both players must get the highest score.

Recall Mode[]

The player must recall five different moles by color. Upon working them correctly, a mole will be fed in the background, growing larger after every correct stage. There are 50 total stages.

Moles and Miis[]

Standard Moles: These moles will be slow, and will try to steal the player(s)’s fruits and vegetables. There is a variant that has a red cap that will try to steal in a faster succession, with a blue-capped variant that jumps back and forth over the field. There are also moles with Mii masks.

Miis: Featured from both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, these Miis will attempt to help the player(s) by giving them back fruits and veggies, but hitting them on the head will make the player(s) lose 20 points, and a splotch of pineapple will appear on the screen.

Moles with hard hats: These moles are black in color, and require one more hit on the head to be defeated. They have glowing pink hats.

Extra tall Moles: These grey, red, and brown moles will run over to the garden quickly, and will take 30 hits to defeat. They swap holes and throw dirt balls at the screen if not hit in time.

Big mole: This massive mole with sunglasses, a green cap, and a wig is fought underground, and the player must bash its hands to keep it away from the fruits and veggies, while racking up enough points to supercharge the hammer to launch moles back at its head. It will also dig underground and get up close, and the player will have to hit its hands in rapid succession before hitting its face. When it is defeated, he will spew out all of its fruits and vegetables and shrink to the size of a normal mole.

Controls[]

  • Use the Wii Remote and wing it down to swing the hammer, along with having the ability to move it.

Trivia[]

This game was developed by Good-Feel, the same studio that made Skip Skimmer.
