Treasure Twirl is the tenth minigame found in Wii Play: Motion. It has two modes: Solo and Cooperative.
Solo Mode[]
The goal is to collect treasure chests, as well as small and big gems found in an underwater cave while avoiding enemies, while also going back to get back your treasure. You also have an air meter that slowly runs out, requiring you to pick up oxygen tanks. If you get hit by an enemy, you drop your treasure (which will float), as well as lose a bar of oxygen. Not to mention that if you grab all three treasures, you move slower upwards and are also prone to sinking faster, meaning that you will have to strategically use oxygen tanks as they only have one use at a time. Enemies can range from simple jellyfish to giant squids, and more will spawn if you grab all 3 treasures. There are 4 levels in Treasure Twirl and you must complete all of them to get the Platinum Medal, along with collecting all the treasure in the final level, with the preceding medals being earned via getting all of the treasure in the levels as well.
Cooperative Mode[]
You and a colleague must escort a carriage of treasure to the surface with a very slow-depleting bar of oxygen, many gems and many enemies as well. Enemies will bump your carriage very violently if you bump into them, so be careful. Both player are in control, so try to keep the carriage balanced to avoid your treasures falling off. There are 2 levels. Note: Bumping into gems with the carriage does not give you them, so you will have to grab them with your or your friend's Mii. Enemies however, do knock your carriage if they bump into it.
Controls[]
- Use the Wii Remote in a twirl motion forwards to lower your Mii, and twirl it backwards to ascend your Mii.
- Use the D-pad to move left and right.
Trivia[]
- This game was made by Mitchell Corporation, the same studio that made the Unicycle minigame.
