"Snap a photo of as many smiles as you can. You only get one shot at it, though, so wait for the right moment!"

Smile Snap is a 4-Player Minigame in Wii Party.

The player must take the picture that has the most Miis smiling. The Miis will occasionally look away from the camera and have either normal, angry, sad, or surprised expressions, which do not count.

  • Hold the Wii Remote horizontally.
  • Press A to take a picture.

  • A smilling Mii's face doesn't have to be centered in looking at the camera for it to count. The faces of the Miis actually go through a few frames before making another facial expression. After they're done looking away from the camera, they will start to smile again and go back to look at the camera.
  • There's an off chance that a Mii either having a happy face when looking away or having any other expression when looking at the camera right before the Minigame starts.
  • It is very rare to get a perfect (8 smiles). It is luck-based and it takes usually less than 1 second for it to last. Master Miis do not gain their opportunities to get a perfect image since the usual number of smiles they get are 5-6 max.

    Example of a Perfect Image

  • If you fail to take a picture within a time limit, you get a blank image with black background. You also automatically get 0 as a score since there are no Miis.
  • The expected number of smiles a Beginner gets is 1-2 smiles, and the expected number of smiles a Master gets is 5-6 smiles.
  • Like Rope Sling, in rare cases, a Beginner Mii can do better than an Expert and a Master Mii in this minigame. While their expected values of each difficulty is different of each other, there are times where a Beginner Mii gets 6 or 7 smiles. Master Miis very rarely get at most 4 smiles.

Example of two Beginner Miis, Mike and Shohei, who got at least 6 smiles.

Pierre and Stéphanie got 6 smiles. Steph got 5 smiles.
