Skateboard Arena is a Training Plus exercise in Wii Fit Plus.

Gameplay[]

Players lean left and right to turn and push the skateboard along by removing one foot from the balance board and then placing it back, as if using a real skateboard. You can also jump by extending your legs and grind on rails by landing a jump on one. Additionally, you can perform tricks for extra points by raising your heels. You need to skate over the glowing strips in the arena to earn points within the time limit. There are 3 difficulty settings: Beginner, Advanced, and Free.

Beginner[]

Level 1[]

This level is flat and has several glowing strips. It teaches the player how to push the skateboard along and turn left and right. You need to get 8 points to progress to the next level.

Level 2[]

This level is ring-shaped and contains several ramps with glowing strips at the top. It teaches the player how to perform tricks. You need to get 10 points to progress to the next level.

Level 3[]

This level is flat in the center with a halfpipe around the edge. There are a few glowing strips in the center, as well as being placed all around the edge of the halfpipe. It teaches the player how to do tricks on the halfpipe. You need to get 10 points to progress to the next level.

Level 4[]

This level contains rails with glowing strips along the tops. It teaches the player how to jump and grind on rails. You need to get 5 points to progress to the next level.

Level 5[]

This level contains platforms with glowing strips around the edge. It doesn't teach the player anything new. You need to get 7 points to progress to the next level.

Level 6[]

This level is shaped the same as level 2 and uses elements from all previous levels, while also introducing cones that will deduct a point if the player skates into them. You need to get 40 points to clear the level and complete beginner difficulty.

Advanced[]

Level 1[]

Blue strips and cones are laid in a pattern. The strips alternate left and right testing the mii to zigzag in those directions. On either side are halfpipes set from level 4's beginner difficulty. 10 points are required to advance.

Level 2[]

Similar to level 2's beginner difficulty layout, except you're intended to perform a trick to leap over the fences. Barriers are placed further ahead. 10 points are required to advance.

Level 3[]

Halfpipes are arranged in a rounded square formation with cones to avoid. 15 points are required to advance.

Level 4[]

Platforms and barriers arranged in a circle. 15 points are required to advance.

Level 5[]

The level tests you to perform tricks off ramps to higher platforms. Various blue strips are aligned further ahead. 15 points are needed to play the following level.

Level 6[]

Similar to level 6's beginner difficulty layout. 30 points are must be obtained to play the subsequent level.

Level 7[]

The level acts like a maze. You can pick and choose where you want to go. You should know how to jump over barriers, off ramps, and ride the rails. 25 points is the target to pass this level. (Quick tip: you won't find blue strips on the high platforms.)

Level 8[]

The level layout will challenge you to jump off ramps to higher platforms. If you can remember to perform tricks, you should be able to finish the level without a hitch. Skate over as many blue strips if need be early on. Watch out for halfpipes along the way. Ride the rails and perform tricks on them to save time. After encountering the half pipes, you'll find more ramps. Take note the platform levels lower as you skate. Score 40 points with time remaining on the clock, and you'll finish the activity.

Free[]

  • Score as many points as you can within 5 minutes. Ride and jump over rails & barriers, perform tricks off halfpipes & ramps.
  • Unlike the first 2 difficulties, your skateboard glows with every blue strip you skate over. Bonus points are awarded for continuous scoring. You net 1 through 5 points.
  • If you stop scoring after at least 10 seconds, the glow fades away.
