Safe Landings is an All-Play minigame in Wii Party U and is the last one on the All-Play list
Gameplay
Players are standing on an elevated trapdoor with a button next to them and another trapdoor with a timer beneath them. The timer is counting down from 5 seconds. Everyone must press their button to open their trapdoor at the right time to try and land on the lower trapdoor as late as possible, meaning a perfect score is 0 seconds. However, players cannot wait around, as if the timer goes below 0 seconds, the lower trapdoor will open, and their Mii will fall down into the underground and lose. The player that lands on the lower trapdoor the latest without falling through is the winner!
If a player feels that they timed their button press too soon, they can shake the Wii Remote to flap their arms and fly in the air for a bit before falling again. The height of the upper trapdoor players start on changes every time to avoid players getting a perfect score every time. If a player gets a perfect score of 0 seconds, their Mii's win animaion will be better than when they win without a perfect score.
Controls
Holding the Wii Remote vertically, press A to open the upper trapdoor and start falling. Shake the Wii Remote to flap your arms and fly. Why can the Miis fly with just their arms anyway?
