Not to be confused with Billiards from Wii Play.
Pool Party is an All-Play Minigame in Wii Party U.
Gameplay[]
The player(s) must run around a giant pool table whilst dodging the pool balls, set into motion by a cue occasionally hitting the cue ball. If a slower-moving ball hits a Mii, they will simply trip up, but higher-speed balls will send them flying! They can also push other players or CPU to make them stumble. Anyone who gets launched off the pool table is out, and the last Mii standing (or whoever is left when time runs out) wins.
Controls[]
- Hold the Wii Remote in horizontally.
- Use the D-pad to move.
- Press 2 to shove your opponents.
Trivia[]
- The balls start in a diamond shape, similar to a nine ball pool starting configuration.
- Right when the Minigame ends, the winning player(s) will temporarily vanish if a ball was about to hit them.
- When seen at an angle, the players that got thrown off the table can be seen on the floor after the minigame ends, but only if they were not launched that far away from the table.
- The pool cue is not being held up by anything or anyone. It is just moving on its own.
- The table itself resembles a Carom billiards table, due to it's lack of pockets.
- Claudia, Polly, Anna, and Carlo appear in the instructions for this minigame.
