Mii Vaulters
Pole vaulters
Information

Game:

Wii Party U

Type:

2-4 Players

Instructions:

"Launch yourself off a long pole and into the air to see which player can land farthest from the start. The key to going far is running fast and knowing just when to release the pole to fly through the air."

Mii Vaulters is a 4 player All-Play Minigame in Wii Party U.

Gameplay[]

The players must vault off of a long pole to land the farthest. One at a time in player order, they must run down the track until they plant their pole, then release at the right time to fly as far as possible, flapping in mid-air to increase their airtime. The player who goes the furthest wins.

Amazing Feat[]

Four players must get the exact same distance (other than 0 yards/meters). The Amazing Feat is called Virtuoso Vaulters.

Controls[]

  • First, shake the Wii Remote to run down the track.
  • After planting the pole, wait for the arrow to point at your desired angle, and press A to launch!
  • During your descent, shake the Wii Remote to flap in the air and gain additional distance.

Average distances per difficulty[]

A score of 200 yd./m. or above is unbeatable by any CPU, as Master Difficulty Miis are capped to 199 yards/meters.

Rankings[]

The default record for 1st in this minigame is set by Barry, a Master Difficulty CPU, with a total of 175 yards/meters.

  1. Barry - 175 yd./m.
  2. Sophia - 172 yd./m.
  3. Akira - 167 yd./m.
  4. Eduardo - 160 yd./m.
  5. Marius - 156 yd./m.
  6. Merrick - 151 yd./m.
  7. Alice - 143 yd./m.
  8. Bowen - 130 yd./m.
  9. Ivo - 127 yd./m.
  10. Ji-hoon - 120 yd./m.

Trivia[]

  • Distances are measured in yards in the NTSC version, and in meters in the Japanese and PAL versions, although there is no actual in-game difference between the two.
  • If you sprint fast enough down the track, your Mii will begin glowing yellow, then a blazing red.
  • It is possible to get 0 yards if you don't launch until your arrow points straight up. In doing so, your Mii will flail in the air as they fall, then sulk after landing as the crowd groans.
  • João, Chris, Dylan, and Frank appear in the minigames instructions.
