The calligraphic Kanji character "喝".
Lotus Focus (Zazen in the PAL Version) is a Balance exercise in Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus.
In-game Summary[]
Find your inner peace through this ancient Zen Practice.
Gameplay[]
The player must sit on the Balance Board and stay still and focus on the candle until it burns all the way down. They will occasionally hear odd sounds that will try to distract you. A lack of focus (the player moving slightly while sitting) will cause the candle to shake, with it shaking faster the more the player moves. If the player moves too much or doesn't sit on the Wii Balance Board, a calligraphic Kanji character "喝" will appear on the screen, followed by an off-screen man shouting "CUT!" followed by a clap. The candle will then be extinguished and the man will say "And that's the end!" ("This ends our session!" in the PAL version) The score is how long they can keep the candle lit. (the record is numbered in seconds).
How to unlock[]
The exercise is unlocked by banking three hours worth of exercise in the Fit Pig in the Wii Fit version. It is available right from the start in Wii Fit Plus.

Trivia[]
- This is one of the Balance exercises in Wii Fit Plus that does not make an appearance in Wii Fit U. The other exercises are Tightrope Walk, Penguin Slide, Snowboard Slalom, Segway® Circuit, Rhythm Parade, Big Top Juggling, and Skateboard Arena.
- You will float once you reach 90 seconds.
- The only existing thing that comes through the screen is moths. Sometimes the moth will fly through the candle light disintegrating to death.
- This is the only activity that lacks music. The countdown sound is much deeper.
- In the European version of the game, before the timer is shown, an off screen man will say "Let us begin." In the North American version however, a deep voice simply says "Begin."
- The Kanji character "喝" ("katsu") is an interjection uttered by Zen Buddhist masters as an exclamation or to scold their students.
- There is an unused candle with some calligraphic Kanji text on it.
Gallery[]
- There are also two unused textures presumably related to either this exercise or Deep Breathing which has instructions on meditative breathing.
