Wii Sports Resort[]

James immensely improves in Wii Sports Resort.

In Cycling, he doesn't race as an opponent. Instead, he is seen as the referee, making sure you start at the right time.

He is a top Pro in Swordplay, being the 5th best player, with a skill level of 1436 to 1440.

He is also a top Pro in Basketball, being the 4th best player, with a skill level of 1451 to 1455. His teammates are Tyrone and Ashley.

In Table Tennis, he is also a Pro, with a skill level of 1196 to 1200. He is the last player in the 1100s. His shots are tricky, keeping his paddle at the middle. He is also the last player to hit quickly when a player is stunned.

Overall, James made a great improvement from Wii Sports.

Trivia[]

  • According to a file in the September 2020 Nintendo leak about CPU Miis, James' nationality is British.
  • According to the Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort files, James' Internal ID is 040.
  • According to the Wii Music files, James' Internal ID is 25.
  • According to his data file in Wii Music, James' Mii ID is 80-4e-9f-66 and his console ID is c2-3d-21-af.
    • According to his Mii ID, James was created on August 27, 2006, at 1:07:36 PM.
  • In the internal files for Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, James' nickname is ジェムーズ (Jemūzu).
    • A possibility is that his Japanese name was going to be Jemūzu during development, but it was changed to Jēmuzu before the final release.
    • His Japanese name is similar to his early name, but the macron accent is above the first U instead of the E. This could mean that he was intended to be Japanese before Nintendo renamed him James and made him British.
  • Since James is the Cycling Referee, you can never race against him in Cycling either in Road races or in VS.
    • The same goes for Vincenzo since he is the coach of the player.
  • He is one of the Miis that wear Black Armor in level 13 of Swordplay Showdown, along with the Boss, Marisa.
  • James is ambidextrous because he is left-handed in Tennis, Basketball, and Table Tennis, but right-handed in Baseball.
  • Despite not racing in Cycling, datamining the CPU skill data file in Wii Sports Resort shows that if he were to race in Cycling, he would place 99th out of 100. Though he was never meant to race, this value is reserved for the Cycling referee. That could mean he was originally going to be the Vice Beginner instead of Nick.
  • He is the best player in Basketball to not be on Tommy's team.
    • He is also the best left-handed player in Basketball.
  • Based solely on Wii Sports Resort sports, James has the highest Average Skill Level at a whopping 1361+.
  • His Mii data file shows that despite him not wearing lipstick, his color is set to red (option 2) instead of the default orange color. This might be a remnant of an earlier design for him.
  • He is the highest ranked Mii in Baseball to have a member from Elisa's (Baseball Beginner) team on his. (Silke)
