In comparison to the Mii, the Sportsmate has a significantly different appearance, with long hot pink dyed hair and white skin, giving a more Japanese look, with the title Newbie applied to her. This Sportsmate appears in several promotional material for Nintendo Switch Sports, playing badminton.

- According to the September 2020 Nintendo leak about CPU Miis, Haru's nationality is Japanese.
- She also has slightly different hair; this suggests that her hair was going to be apart of her design.
- According to the Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort files, Haru's Internal ID is 010.
- This makes her the first female to be added into Wii Sports.
- According to the Wii Music files, Haru's Internal ID is 50.
- According to her Mii ID in Wii Music, Haru was created on August 30, 2006 at 11:31:40 AM.
- Haru doesn't play Boxing, however internal IDs rank her as 39, so if she appeared in Boxing, she would have been the best female who does not play the sport.
- Haru appears in the Wii Party minigame Cry Babies as one of the babies.
- Haru is ambidextrous because she is left-handed in Tennis, Basketball and Table Tennis, but is right-handed in Baseball.
- In her Wii Party artwork, she seems to be playing either Jumbo Jump or Bobsled Highway.
