Goal Getters is a 4-player Minigame in Wii Party.

Gameplay[]

The objective of this game is to kick as many soccer balls into the goal as you can. Each player has 5 attempts to do this: they take turns running up to the balls passed to them, and must kick at just the right moment to score. The soccer balls can either be small or large - everyone gets 3 small balls and 2 large balls each, sent in a random order.

The player with the most goals at the end wins.

Controls[]

  • Hold the Wii Remote level, and swing it at the right moment to kick.

Trivia[]

  • Abe, Akira, Rachel and Maria appear in the rules of this minigame.
    • Miyu, Susana and Daisuke are in the controls. Miyu is the player, while Susana and Daisuke are the soccer refs. A small ball is thrown at Miyu.
  • When a player successfully scores the goal, they'll run offscreen celebrating. When they fail, they will sadly walk off with their head hung low. If they get hit by a big ball, they'll be flung offscreen.
  • The Miis in the background will jump and cheer when a goal is made, and look disappointed when someone misses or gets hit.
    • Strangely, the background Miis won't show any expressions when they do the animations for missing and scoring.
  • The name of the game is a pun on "Go getter", who is a person who strives to reach their goals.
  • Looking closely at the Mii kicking balls to the players: large balls are rolled to them from offscreen, whilst small balls simply inflate into existence by their feet.
