Flashlight Frights (Torchlit Terror in the PAL version) is a Pair Minigame in Wii Party.
Objective[]
The players must point the Wii Remote at the ghosts to make them go away. If a player is caught by the ghost, the other player who is not caught by the ghost needs to shine the flashlight at the ghost to drop the caught player. The minigame ends once the player gets to the foyer. Even though one player gets taken away by a ghost, the game won't result in failure. The player that is not caught by the ghost can just shine the light at the ghosts until he/she reaches the last area. The Mii that was caught by a blue or red ghost is seen "inside" the giant orange ghost.
Trivia[]
- If both players get caught by ghosts, or the ghost that has caught one of the pair floats away carrying the Mii at the last area, the "Game Over" will appear on the screen, resulting in failure.
- This is the only Minigame to have the "Game Over" on the screen.
- If one player gets caught, but the other doesn't, the surviving player will continue onward.
Shouta continuing onwards through the Mansion after Hiromasa just got caught.
- Afterwards, you will see the player that got caught inside the orange ghost at the final room.
- Part of the instructions is a direct reference to the first Legend of Zelda game, specifically the "It's dangerous to go alone!" part.
- The Miis have spherical hands during the minigame. In the results screen however, their hands appear normal and they have arms.
