Flag Footrace is a 1 vs 1 Minigame in Wii Party.

Gameplay[]

The two opponents must wait for the starting gun, then shake the Wii Remote to run as soon as the gun shoots off. They can also press the A button to dive towards the flag. If they run before the gunshot, they will get a mark. If they do it twice, they will be disqualified, and the other player will automatically win. The player who successfully grabs the flag first is declared the winner.

Ending[]

The winner raises the flag as their opponent sulks. The players perform their poses on the results screen.

Trivia[]

  • This minigame is extremely similar to Flag Fracas, except it has 2 players as opposed to 4 players.
  • If a player is disqualified, they will stand next to the referee. The other player will get up from laying on the sand and look side to side in surprise.

  • The default time for the minigame is 5 minutes; the timer only shows up during the last 10 seconds.
  • If a player dives when they aren't near the flag, their Mii will take a few moments to get up.
  • If the players are really close to the Flag, they will bend over when running and reach their hand out.

  • If one player is close to the flag and the other is far from it, the shadow of the player that's far will not appear.

While Bernd is standing really close to the flag, Miyu is in the back, running, while it shows that she doesn't have a shadow.

  • If a Mii is in the way of another, that Mii will move out of the way.

Notice how Bernd's moving a little bit to the side to get out of Miyu's way.

  • The spectators will start to clap once the starting gun goes off.
