Dicey Descent (2分の1サバイバル (1/2 Survival) in the Japanese version) is a 4-player minigame in Wii Party.
Introduction[]
The camera will pan upwards as all three platforms shut tight. As the very first one gets shut, all 4 players fall and land on it.
Gameplay[]
Players start out on top of the three platforms and must pick the right or left side on where they want to fall. One side of each platform has thunderclouds that can shock unlucky players. There is a 50/50 chance of getting shocked or being safe. If they get shocked twice, they are out.
The player(s) who reaches the finishing platform who got zapped the least, or is the last one standing, is the winner.
Gameplay (Spot the Sneak)[]
In Spot The Sneak, the Sneak's remote will rumble once a second if they pick the correct side.
Ending[]
The minigame can end in two ways:
- If there is only one player standing or all players are eliminated and they have yet to make it past the last platform, the minigame ends.
- After all players made it past all three platforms (or at least more than one player), the minigame ends.
Trivia[]
- This game is a luck-based minigame, like Lucky Launch, Face Flip, Strategy Steps, and Risky Railroad. Like these, there are no clear strategies on how to win easily.
- Like Zombie Tag, you can push players because object collision is enabled. Unlike this minigame, pushing an idle CPU player forces them to move.
- It is possible (though very unlikely) to block a CPU's movement, forcing them to stay in one side. However, this is not recommended for players without savestates (or similar tools) since you do not know which side has thunderclouds.
