Basket Bonanza is a Pair minigame in Wii Party.

Introduction[]

The Miis get ready to throw the balls to the hoop while another Mii spectates from the fence. Then they turn around to face the hoop.

Gameplay[]

Swing your Wii Remote upwards to drain a shot. Try to find a good rhythm so you and your partner get a good score. If you and your partner throw the balls at the same time, neither will go in, rather they will bump into each other and then fall down to the floor.

In Balance Boat, you and your partner must score at least 30 baskets to qualify.

Rankings[]

The #1 default ranking for this minigame is set by Pierre and Takumi, two Master Difficulty Miis, with a total of 40 points, unless you score more than 40.

  1. Pierre and Takumi: 40 Points
  2. Hayley and Midori: 39 Points
  3. Theo and Abe: 38 Points
  4. Barbara and Sota: 37 Points
  5. Oscar and Vincenzo: 36 Points
  6. Gabriele and Daisuke: 35 Points
  7. Misaki and Mia: 34 Points
  8. Holly and Gwen: 33 Points
  9. Jessie and Patrick: 32 Points
  10. Abby and James: 31 Points

Trivia[]

  • Alley Hoops from Wii Party U could be considered a successor to this minigame, with both focused around banking as many hoops as possible without letting any balls collide, the main difference being that it is an All-Play minigame rather than a Pair.
  • Whenever two balls collide, the player Miis will break a sweat.
  • The players don't appear to pick up any balls from their baskets, rather they just materialize into their hands upon landing.
  • Depending on how good you do, more Miis will come to spectate you. They will also clap whenever you make a shot.
  • A Mii riding a bicycle and a delivery Mii will sometimes be seen in the background. They seem to have hands but no arms, while the players and spectators have both hands and arms.
  • This game resembles Wii Sports Resort Basketball a lot, right down to the ball textures, as well as an identical model for a basketball hoop.
