Balanced Diet is an All-Play Minigame in Wii Party U.
Gameplay[]
The players must take turns placing fruits of varying weights onto the scales to send the needles into the blue areas. If one succeeds, the gauge will flip to show their Mii face, and they win, receiving the highest rank not yet taken. However, if the needle goes past into the red area, the scale's gauge will spring out and they'll lose, receiving the lowest untaken rank. Either way, they are out of the game, and the scale they claimed or broke becomes unusable. They will also be eliminated and ranked low if they let time run out on their turn.
The amount of scales is always one below the amount of players, and the quantity of available fruits will vary every game.
Fruits to use[]
- Apples (~1 tick on the scale)
- Bananas (~4/5 ticks)
- Oranges (~1/2 ticks)
- Strawberries (~1/4 ticks)
- Bunches of Bananas (~2 ticks)
- Pineapples (~3 ticks)
Controls[]
- Hold the Wii Remote vertically and point it at the sensor bar.
- Press and hold A to select a fruit, and let go to drop it.
Trivia[]
- Unlike most pointer-based minigames in Wii Party U, the player's hands do not rotate if they twist their cursors.
- On the results screen, the Miis will appear dressed as cooks, though with taller toques than in Recipe Recall.
- Delilah, Merrick, Matt, and Clara appear in the minigames instructions.
