Balance Boat (バランスシップ (Balance Ship) in the Japanese version) is a 2-player Pair Game in Wii Party.

Objective[]

The objective of the mode is to balance 20 Miis on top of a boat without dropping any into the water. There are three colored spars on the mast which are green, yellow, and purple, and only Miis with the same colored suit can be placed upon them.

Gameplay[]

At the start of each round, a Pair minigame will be played to determine the size of the Miis. If the players win, the Miis will be the same size (both medium). Losing the minigame sets the Miis to different sizes (one small and one big), making it trickier to balance them. Both players must then place one randomly-colored Mii each upon the boat, and try to keep it balanced. If the players accidentally tip the boat over, all the Miis will fall into the water, and the game ends.

In the one-player game, the partner will always be a Master Difficulty CPU Mii.

Sub-modes[]

The main mode is called Double Up. When Double Up is completed on Expert, the players unlock Time Attack, which have no minigames and sets all Miis to random sizes. In Time Attack, the players must simply place the 20 Miis two-by-two as fast as they can, attempting to beat the record time without upturning the boat.

Difficulty levels[]

There are three difficulty levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert.

Beginner[]

  • The boat is in stable condition
  • No barrels
  • Sunny

Intermediate[]

  • The boat is still in stable condition
  • Barrels
  • Sunset

Expert[]

  • The boat's masts are broken and uneven, and the sails are worn out
  • Barrels
  • Stormy on wild waters
