1 vs 1 Minigames are one of the five types of Minigames in Wii Party. Two players play in them against each other. There is a 5-minute time limit for each Minigame to be completed, but some minigames have their own timings. In Wii Party U, all of the All-Play Minigames can be turned into 1 vs 1 Minigames by having two players (against one CPU or a person).
Controls[]
Utilizing the Wii Remote, the control methods include tilting, swinging up or down, pointing, and pressing the A, B, 1, 2 buttons and the directions on the D-pad.

Modes that include 1 vs 1 Minigames[]
- 1 vs 1 minigames can be selected from Free Play (like every other minigame).
- In Board Game Island, if a player lands on a 1 vs 1 Minigame space, they can challenge a player (not in the volcano) in a 1 vs 1 minigame and if they win, they move seven spaces while the challenged player goes back seven spaces. Otherwise, if the player who landed on that space loses or if there's a tie, nothing happens.
- In Spin-Off, a 1 vs 1 Minigame can be spun in rounds five to ten. The player who spins it can challenge a player (not without medals) to one. If they win, they get half the medals of their opponent. Otherwise, if that player loses or if there's a tie, nothing happens.
- In Match-Up, every third round there's a 1 vs 1 Minigame and the winner gets an extra heart.
- In Battle Mode there are 1 vs 1 Minigames when playing a 2-Player Battle.
- In Solo Mode, there are also 1 vs 1 Minigames where that player must beat the CPU to pass.
